Do you need an efficient secretary, telephonist or book-keeper, but don’t have sufficient workload to justify setting someone on?  Do you need someone whom you can trust and rely on, who will be there when you need them?  


Spectrum Secretarial Bureau (SSB) can provide any type of office support, as and when required.  This might be occasionally, to provide holiday cover or when you have extra workload, or on a more regular basis if you want to reduce your employment costs.  Whatever your requirements, all our services are available at a reasonable, affordable cost.

Although most of our customers are based in Yorkshire, some are further afield in the UK or overseas; many are sole traders or consultants working from home; others operate from their own business premises. 

Our most popular service is the ‘virtual secretary’ telephone answering service; customers divert their calls to us, for us to answer as their ‘secretary’ – some customers divert all their calls, others divert when their phone is already engaged, when they don’t want to be disturbed or when they are out of the office.  We get to know their customers, suppliers and contacts, and become part of their ‘team’, creating the impression that they are larger than they actually are.

Others use our typing service, for reports, letters or other correspondence, making sense of their scribbled notes, hurried dictation or meeting transcripts. 

We also provide an invoicing and book-keeping service; we can chase outstanding debts, or simply give you business advice on how to develop and promote your business on a day-to-day basis.
